Volkswagen India has launched the Polo GT Sport, a limited edition visually upgraded model of the GT twins. The GT Sport commands Rs 20,000 premium over the standard GT TSI and GT TDI models.
Exterior changes include a gloss-black roof, “Racing GT” spoiler, GT Sport decals on the doors and 16-inch burnished alloy wheels. Interiors get GT Sport branded upholstery. No mechanical changes under the hood, since the GT variants are already the performance variants. The petrol version is powered by a 1.2 TSI motor with an output of 105 hp and 175 Nm of torque, paired to a 7-Speed DSG. The diesel is a 1.5 TDI unit, producing 110 hp and 250 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-Speed manual.
Both GT models (TSI and TDI) get cruise control, auto AC, ambient lights, rear parking sensors, dual front airbags and ABS as standard. The TSI gets ESP and hill-hold control as well.
The Polo GT Sport is available in two color options, Flash red and Candy White.
