In a few days from now, the 3rd-gen Audi TT turns 10. When it comes to homo sapiens, 10 is just the beginning, but when it comes to cats and cars, it’s pretty old. And so, in the U.S. market, the TT is bidding goodbye with the TT Roadster Final Edition, limited to 50 units. Each unit carries an MSRP of $67,800 plus a $1,095 destination charge.
So, what’s all the hoopla? Well, the exterior of the TT Roadster Final Edition is finished in an exclusive Goodwood Green pearl effect paint, complemented with a gray soft-top convertible roof and platinum gray matte lower body elements. BTW, the gray soft-top was previously used on the 2019 TT Roadster 20th Anniversary Edition. The special edition rides on 20-inch 10-Y-spoke design forged wheels, offering more contrast against the green paint.
Inside, the TT Final edition is finished in Palomino Brown leather, which apparently is a nod to the first generation’s iconic baseball stitch leather. Furthermore, the special edition comes standard with an extended leather package, which finishes the door armrests and center console in the same Palomino Brown leather and stitching, as well as black leather covering the airbag cap and instrument cluster hood. Audi exclusive Palomino Brown stitching on the steering wheel and gear selector boot and the floor mats trimmed with Palomino Brown leather piping and stitching round off the special interior.
Powering the TT Roadster Final Edition is a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that pumps out 170 kW (228 bhp/231 metric hp) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is coupled with a 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission and quattro all-wheel drive system, enabling an official 0-60 mph (96.5 km/h) sprint time of 5.5 seconds.
The Audi magnetic ride suspension system is also part of the package. It adapts the damping forces depending on the driving situation, plus, offers a 10 mm lower ride height compared with the standard setup.
