After the Nexon and Harrier, the big boy Safari too needs to be facelifted, right? Well, here it is sporting a similar facelifted goodness. Prices are not yet announced for this one too, but as mentioned before, your local dealer might have some reliable information.
As you might know, the second-gen Safari is nothing but a three-row version of the Harrier, and therefore it’s not necessary that it needs to look significantly different. It has the same lighting and grille setup as the Harrier, but there are some subtle differences in the bumper to make it look a bit more muscular. The alloy wheel design is different too; the wheels are apparently, aerodynamically optimized. Unsurprisingly, the rear fascia is pretty much identical to that of the Harrier.
Trim options for the Safari include Smart, Pure, Adventure and Accomplished, and the #Dark versions are available on the latter two. Color options depending on the trim include Lunar Slate, Supernova Copper, Oberon Black, Stellar Frost, Stardust Ash, Galactic Sapphire and Cosmic Gold.
Inside, things look the same as the Harrier facelift, obviously. The seats in this top-end trim are upholstered in Benecke Kaliko Oyster White leatherette. The first- and second-row seats are ventilated, but the third-row is a compromise, but we already know that. The Safari continues to be powered by a Fiat-sourced 2.0L 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine with 125 kW (170 metric hp) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft). The engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission, although the latter is not available on the first two trims.
