Lancia has updated its only offering—the Ypsilon hatchback—for 2023 with styling and technology upgrades. Prices in Italy start at €17,100, and if you opt for FCA Bank financing, the starting price is gonna be €13,450 with VAT. In the latter, you’ll need to make a €3,720 downpayment, €128.50 monthly installments for 37 months, and a final installment of €7,604.96.

So, what’s all the hoopla? Well, for the exterior, the ‘Silver’ trim has been updated with black elements such as the grille, grille frame and the lower bumper intake surrounds. Also, the company says in its press release that the front has been made more “youthful” with DRL halogen headlights and a black spoiler, with the latter coming standard across the lineup. Except for the base ‘Silver’ trim, the rest all get the DRLs. The color palette includes the new Dew Green option.

The cabin features new blue and chrome green elements and a graphically revamped instrument cluster. The seats feature a new yarn upholstery from Seaqual, which apparently contains material obtained from recycled plastic from the Mediterranean Sea. Except for the base model, the rest all get a 7-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity. You can also find a wireless smartphone charging pad in the centre console.

The Ypsilon range continues with a 1.0L 3-cylinder petrol-electric mild-hybrid (12-volt) powertrain with 51 kW (69 metric hp) and 92 Nm (68 lb-ft) of torque, coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox. An LPG variant continues to be available.
