Alongside the SIERRA EV, Tata Motors is showcasing the HARRIER EV (stylized as HARRIER.EV) at the 2023 Auto Expo near Delhi. As you can probably tell, the HARRIER EV is still in a concept form, but Tata Motors is collecting registrations (customer interest) for this one as well on its website.
The HARRIER EV certainly looks like how an EV version of the diesel-powered Harrier should look. However, you can notice some changes such as a revised front bumper design with small headlight housings. On the side, it is unclear if the production model is gonna have flush door handles, while at the rear, you get a full-width light bar and a redesigned bumper. All these styling revisions might make it to the diesel-powered Harrier as well in the not-too-distant future.
What also remains unclear is whether the HARRIER EV is gonna be built around a new EV architecture or will simply be an EV-converted version of the diesel-powered Harrier. Tata Motors simply says that the HARRIER EV is gonna be built around the Gen 2 EV architecture—without sharing any details whatsoever. But the vehicle will certainly have bits from the company’s Ziptron bin. A small teaser clip shared by the company mentions all-wheel-drive, but again, without sharing any details.
