After the Flying Spur S, the third-gen Flying Spur lineup is now joined by the Flying Spur Speed—which is gonna replace the standard Flying Spur W12. Which also means that the end of the W12 engine is not too far from now.
The familiar exterior Speed styling cues are apparent with dark finishes on the front grilles, headlamps and taillamps, and of course, the Speed badge on the lower front wings. The car rides on unique 22-inch wheels with finish options including Dark Tint, Gloss Black and Silver. A second optional 22-inch sports design wheel is also available in Gloss Black or Pale Brodgar Satin. The Flying Spur Speed also gets jeweled fuel and oil filler caps. Styling Specification (carbon fibre front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and a subtle bootlid spoiler) and Blackline Specification remain available as options.
The uber-luxurious cabin features a new material called Dinamica Pure for occupant touch points. The difference between Dinamica Pure and regular Dinamica is that the former apparently is made from 73% recycled Polyester. The interior leather color choices go up from 5 to 15, all combined with Piano Black veneer as standard. Crown Cut Walnut, Dark Stained Burr Walnut and Dark Fiddleback Eucalyptus are available as alternative no-cost options.
Also, comfort specification comes standard, which includes 24-way adjustment for the front seats and 14-way adjustment for the rear seats. All seats include heating, ventilation, massage and two memory positions.
As for the juicy bits, the 6.0L (5,950 cc) W12 twin-turbo petrol engine pumps out 467 kW (635 metric hp/626 bhp) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft); 62.5 kW (85 metric hp) and 130 Nm (96 lb-ft) more than in the Flying Spur S. The engine is coupled with an 8-speed ZF DCT. The official 0-60 mph (96.5 km/h) sprint time is 3.7 seconds and the top speed is 207 mph (333 km/h).
