The Jeep Compass might no longer fit into “the list of affordable SUVs in India” (it now starts at INR 18.39 lakh), but as you probably remember, it was launched at a mouth-watering starting price of INR 14.95 lakh, just over 5 years ago, which not only saved the brand from the ventilator support but also gave the opportunity to celebrate the Compass’ 5th anniversary with a special edition. And, the Compass 5th Anniversary Edition is priced at INR 24.44 lakh, ex-showroom, Pan India.
The anniversary edition appears to be based on the ‘Limited’ trim. On the exterior, it features gray accents, gray badges, gray roof rails, body-colored fender flares, 18-inch Granite Crystal-painted wheels, and of course, a 5th-anniversary badge on the tailgate.
Inside, highlights include piano black & anodized gunmetal accents, a black headliner, and Light Tungsten contrast stitching on the seats. The rest of the features and powertrain options are gonna remain the same, of course.
Petrol buyers will have a 1.4L 4-cylinder turbocharged unit paired with a 7-speed DCT, while diesel buyers will have a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged unit paired with either a 6-MT (FWD) or a 9-AT with a 4WD system.
