Kawasaki has launched the 2023 Versys 650 in India, priced at INR 7,36,000, ex-showroom, Pan India. The updated motorcycle actually made its global debut in November 2021 in EICMA as a 2022 model, and features Versys 1000-inspired styling revisions and comes in two dual-tone paint finishes: Black & Lime Green and Black & Phantom Silver; the latter also gets some contrast red accents.
Key features include LED headlights, an LED taillight, a 4.3-inch LCD instrument display, two-mode KTRC (Kawasaki TRaction Control), and a USB socket (accessory). Suspension duties are handled by a 41 mm upside-down telescopic fork at the front with rebound & preload adjustability, and an offset monoshock at the rear with preload adjustability. Braking duties are handled by dual 300 mm discs at the front and a single 250 mm disc at the rear.
As the name suggests, the Versys 650 is powered by a 649 cc parallel-twin engine with 49 kW (67 metric hp) at 8500 rpm and 61 Nm (45 lb-ft) of torque at 7000 rpm. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox.
