Bajaj Auto has added a new variant to the Pulsar lineup called the Pulsar N160, priced at INR 122,854 for a single-channel ABS variant and INR 127,853 for a dual-channel ABS variant. Both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
The Pulsar N160 appears to be Bajaj’s take on the Yamaha MT-15, especially when you look at the front fascia. But unlike in the MT-15, the exhaust here is under the belly. Other key features include an LED projector headlight flanked by LED running lights; an LED taillight with a crystalline design; 795 mm seat height; a digital instrument display; a gear indicator, and a USB charging port. Suspension duties are handled by a 37 mm telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear.
For some strange reason, the dual-channel ABS variant is available only in Brooklyn Black color, but if you want more colors, you’ve to go with the single-channel ABS variant, which offers Caribbean Blue, Racing Red and Techno Grey options.
The Pulsar N160 is powered by a 160 cc single-cylinder engine with 11.7 kW (16 metric hp) of peak power and 14.65 Nm (10.8 lb-ft) of peak torque; the engine is coupled with a 5-speed gearbox. The MT-15 has a couple more horses, but it’s up to the buyers at the end of the day to decide what they want.
