Is that the right pricing to not keep the customers away?
Hungarian brand Keeway (now owned by Benelli’s parent Qianjiang Motorcycle Group) has entered the Indian market with Sixties 300i scooter, Vieste 300 scooter and K-Light 250V cruiser motorcycle. The scooters are priced at INR 2.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom), while the motorcycle pricing is yet to be revealed. However, bookings are open for all three for a deposit of INR 10,000.
The Sixties 300i is a retro flaired scooter powered by a 278.2 cc single-cylinder petrol engine that offers 14 kW (18.7 bhp) and 22 Nm (16.2 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is paired with a CVT. Key features include LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, and 120 mm wide tyres at both ends. Buyers can choose from three paint options: Matte Light Blue, Matte Grey and Matte White.
The Vieste 300 is a maxi-scooter type, also powered by a 278.2 cc single-cylinder petrol engine that offers the same 14 kW (18.7 bhp) and 22 Nm (16.2 lb-ft) of torque. Key features here include a four-pod LED projector headlight, an LED taillight, dual-channel ABS, wide tyres (110 mm at the front and 130 mm at the rear), and a key fob. This scooter also boasts a 12-litre fuel tank.
As for color choices, there are three again: Matte Blue, Matte Black and Matte White.
There’s also a motorcycle on offer called the K-Light 250V, powered by a 249 cc V-twin-cylinder petrol engine with 14 kW (18.7 bhp) and 19 Nm (14 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is coupled with a Belt Drive System. Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork at the front and a hydraulic system at the rear. Other key features include LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, wide tyres (120 mm at the front and 140 mm at the rear), and a 20-litre fuel tank.
There are three paint choices: Matte Blue, Matte Dark Gray and Matte Black.
