Hyundai-Grand-Creta

Hyundai has launched a 3-row version of the Creta called Grand Creta in South Africa, with prices starting at R 449,900 (INR 23.54 lakh or US$ 94,852). Yup, you guessed it right; the Hyundai Grand Creta is known as Hyundai Alcazar in India since June 2021.

Variant Petrol Diesel
2.0 Executive MT R 449,900
2.0 Executive AT R 489,900
1.5 Executive AT R 509,900
2.0 Elite AT R 539,900
1.5 Elite AT R 559,900

Visually, the Grand Creta looks identical to the Alcazar, obviously. Even the alloy wheels are the same. But anyway, key exterior features include LED headlights with integrated LED running lights, front LED fog lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a panoramic sunroof.

Inside, key features include a central touchscreen (smaller than the one in Alcazar), Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity, wireless smartphone charging, a digital driver display, ventilated front seats, and artificial leather upholstery.

Safety systems include airbags (front, side and curtain), ABS with EBD, Isofix anchorages, front & rear parking sensors, and a rear parking camera.

Moving on to the juicy bits of the story then, the petrol engine is a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated unit with 117 kW (159 metric hp) and 191 Nm (141 lb-ft) of torque. The engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Diesel buyers will get a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged unit with 84 kW (114 metric hp) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque; this engine is available only with a 6-speed automatic transmission. As with the Alcazar, the Grand Creta remains to be a front-wheel-drive model.
