Jeep has launched the Renegade RED Special Edition in the U.S. market, with MSRP starting at $29,985. A percentage from the sales of each special edition will go to the (RED) organization. The Renegade RED Special Edition is sold as a stand-alone trim, slotting between Altitude and Limited trims. It is available only in a 4×4 configuration.
Interestingly, the Renegade RED Special Edition is not available just with red body paint, but also with white, black and gray. However, the badges and the mirror caps will be in red regardless of the body color. Also, the tailgate features a special (RED) decal, and the 19-inch wheels are gonna be in a gray finish (Granite Crystal).
Inside, the air vent surrounds and the speaker grille surrounds are gonna be in red. Other key highlights of this trim include a keyless entry system, remote vehicle start, and an 8.4-inch Uconnect 4C NAV touchscreen.
The Renegade RED Special Edition comes with a 132 kW (179 metric hp) 1.3-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and a 4WD system. The system also offers a real-axle disconnect functionality to save fuel.
