Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the 2022 CBR650R in the country, priced at INR 935,427, ex-showroom, Gurugram. The motorcycle is being imported to India via CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route and is available at the exclusive BigWing showrooms.
New for 2022 are the colors; well, not even colors but new graphics. The Grand Prix Red is combined with black & gray graphics, while the Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic features subtle, yet tasteful Orange highlights. The rest of the things will remain unchanged from the 2021 model, obviously.
The motorcycle is powered by a 649 cc in-line 4-cylinder engine that develops 64 kW (87 metric hp) at 12,000 rpm and 57.5 Nm (42 lb-ft) of torque at 8,500 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by an adjustable 41 mm Showa USD fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by 310 mm discs at the front and a single 240 mm disc at the rear. Dual-channel ABS comes standard.
