Mazda has updated the MX-5 (MX-5 Miata in North America) for 2022, with prices starting at $27,300 in the United States and £24,755 in the UK. Deliveries are expected to commence at the end of this month or in Jan 2022 for the U.S. market and Feb 2022 for European markets.

The Brembo BBS Recaro package on the Club trim costs an additional $4,500, and if you pay $7,400 extra, Mazda will sell you the same with RF as well. The package gets you dark gunmetal 17-inch BBS forged wheels, red-painted front & rear calipers, an aero kit, and heated Recaro sport seats.
There are no styling revisions for 2022; the MX-5 continues to look just as cute as it always looked. What’s new for 2022 however, is something called Kinematic Posture Control (KPC)—which is claimed to offer an improved high-g cornering performance. Mazda explains that KPC applies a very slight brake to the inner rear wheel during high-g cornering, thus reducing body roll and making steering response feel more linear through tight corners.
A few more “new for 2022” features include wireless Apple CarPlay for the Club trim and optional Terracotta Nappa leather seat upholstery for the Grand Touring trim.
For the American market, the MX-5 Miata continues to offer a 2.0L 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine with 135 kW (184 metric hp/181 bhp) and 205 Nm (151 lb-ft) of torque. Transmission can be a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. In markets elsewhere, a 1.5L 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine is also on offer, with 97 kW (132 metric hp/130 bhp) and 152 Nm (112 lb-ft) of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels.
