Dongfeng’s EV sub-brand Voyah (also known as Lantu) has unveiled a luxury MPV called Dreamer at the 2021 Auto Guangzhou in China. The MPV will compete against the likes of China-exclusive Buick GL8 Avenir and the Lexus LM.
Looking at that gigantic grille, one would fairly argue that the only true competitor for the Voyah Dreamer is the Lexus LM. I think the grille is large enough to use it as a gate. The MPV measures 5,315 mm long, 1,980 mm wide and 1,810 mm tall. It also boasts a generous wheelbase of 3,200 mm. Voyah is a new brand that debuted only last year. At that time, it revealed a couple of concepts that were designed by Italdesign. Not sure if that Italian design house has anything to do with this MPV.
Inside, things look luxurious, but this example features some jazzy colors with what appears to be gold-colored accents. Features include active air suspension that can adjust damping in advance based on the road conditions ahead; 5G connectivity, and SAE Level 2 driver assistance systems.
Did I mention the Voyah Dreamer is an electric MPV? Well, Dongfeng didn’t share any technical information, but just said that the MPV is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.9 seconds, although you might be wondering why anyone would want to do that in an MPV.
