Toyota: Let’s GR all things.
A lot of Toyota models are getting Gazoo’d these days, because obviously, Toyota wants the GR sub-brand to be recognized as an M or AMG-equivalent. And so, the latest model to wear a GR suit is the Corolla Cross, for the Taiwanese market.
As the name suggests, the Corolla Cross GR Sport is all about mostly about sporty looks. It gets darkened grille, sporty front bumper, black mirror caps, and black roof. Buyers get to choose from four exterior colors: grey, red, silver and white.
I said the Corolla Cross GR Sport is mostly about sporty looks because apparently, it also gets a sports suspension and chassis reinforcement brackets.
The dark-themed cabin gets GR-branded sporty seats, and.. that’s all there’s to it. As for the powertrain, the Corolla Cross GR Sport can be had with either a regular petrol powertrain (1.8L, 140 metric hp) or a petrol-electric hybrid powertrain (1.8L + e-motor, 122 metric hp). Read more here.
