Toyota has added an ‘Adventure’ variant to the RAV4 lineup in Europe as part of the model year 2022 updates. Deliveries of the refreshed RAV4 range are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2022. The RAV4 Adventure boasts an even more rugged styling and standard AWD-i system.
The “RAV4 Adventure leads updates to all RAV4 range for 2022,” Toyota said. Which means some of the changes (except for the “Adventure” bits) you see here will make it to the entire RAV4 lineup; these include new LED headlights with a new running light signature. The RAV4 Adventure wears a new hexagonal dark grille with the Toyota logo positioned in the middle—over horizontal bars. A more sculpted bumper design with silver-ish skid plate, LED front fog lights in black surrounds, thicker wheel arch cladding, 19-inch matt grey alloy wheels, and a matching silver-ish insert on the rear bumper are some of the other highlights. This particular example is painted in Urban Khaki, with roof, A-pillars and rear spoiler in Dynamic Grey, as a homage to classic FJ40 Land Cruisers.
Inside, the seats are upholstered in black synthetic leather with a unique design and orange contrast stitching. RAV4 Adventure scuff plates are also part of the package.
No other changes. The hybrid powertrain combines a 2.5L petrol engine and two electric motors for a combined output of 163 kW (222 metric hp). Transmission is an eCVT.
