Triumph India has launched the 2021 Speed Twin in the country, priced at INR 10,99,000, ex-showroom, Pan India. Highlights of the new model include more power, better handling, and enhanced technology.
Features include 43 mm Marzocchi USD fork with 120 mm travel; twin RSUs at the rear with adjustable preload and 120 mm travel; twin 320 mm discs at the front—gripped by Brembo M50 4-piston calipers; a single 220 mm disc at the rear—gripped by Nissin 2-piston caliper, 17-inch cast aluminium alloy wheels, aluminium swingarm, ABS, switchable traction control, under-seat USB charging socket, torque-assist clutch, and LED lighting.
Nestled inside a tubular steel frame is a 1,200 cc parallel-twin engine that pumps out 73.6 kW (100 metric hp) at 7,250 rpm and 112 Nm (83 lb-ft) of torque at 4,250 rpm. Improvements include 3 more peak metric hp and peak torque now lower down the rev range. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The rider gets to play with three modes: Road, Rain and Sport.
