Nissan has revealed the Note Aura Nismo for the Japanese market, scheduled to go on sale in the country this autumn. As the name suggests, it is a sporty-looking variant of the Note Aura that was revealed a couple of months ago.
Nismo touches include sporty front and rear bumpers, aerodynamically optimized 17-inch aluminum wheels, and of course, red accents. Buyers get to choose from five exterior paint options, of which, four are two-tone combinations with black being applied to the roof, pillars and the centre of the bonnet.
A full black option is also available, but I think it’s the red-black combo that looks pretty sweet. But anyway, inside, there are sporty seats upholstered in a combination of fabric and synthetic leather, with Nismo branding on the headrests. The dashboard and the centre console features carbon fibre-like red-tinted inlays with Nismo branding.
It appears that there’s no power upgrade for the Nismo variant over the Aura. However, it gets an additional Nismo driving mode that is claimed to offer “a more powerful response and increased acceleration”. In addition, the Normal and Eco modes have been optimized for more comfort. The Note Aura Nismo also gets a model-specific suspension tuning.
