Volkswagen has launched the Basecamp accessory line for Taos SUV, which was revealed as a concept last month. The accessories include exterior styling elements that add a rugged look to the compact SUV.
The accessories include front and rear fender flares with integrated splash guards, side lower body cladding, and a front grille Basecamp badge. The dealer-installed components are also available separately except for the Basecamp badge — which is only available as part of the full $999 package. The concept had showcased a lot more including off-road wheels, all-terrain tyres, a roof basket, and a cargo divider inside. The orange accents are also missing.
However, some of them are available as separate accessories, including Bumperdillo guards for the rear bumper ($100), Thule roof basket ($350), MuddyBuddy floor lining ($190), Monster Mats floor mats ($105), and auto-dimming rearview mirror equipped with HomeLink Connect ($339.50). The accessories can be bought here.
