For those who want something more than the V8 but not the Speed.
Bentley has revealed the Bentayga S for the first time, which joins the existing Bentayga lineup comprising the V8, Hybrid and Speed models. The ‘S’ here has got something to do with being sporty, which we’ll talk about in a bit.
Visually, the Bentayga S features black styling elements such as lower bumper inserts, mirror caps, and door cladding. Also included are special ‘S’ badges on the lower side of the front doors, a large rear spoiler, and unique 22-inch wheels. Dark-tinted headlights and taillights add to the looks.
The cabin features a new color split with a generous application of Alcantara. The seat backrests are finished with an embroidered ‘S’ motif.
Enhanced Sport mode
As for the more significant differences, the Bentayga S features an enhanced ‘Sport’ mode over the standard Bentayga. The Sport mode is claimed to offer an improved steering feel, greater turn-in response and further reduced body roll, thanks to an additional 15% increase in air suspension damping and specific tuning of ESC and Bentley Dynamic Ride (48-volt electric active roll control system). Bentley said that the Torque Vectoring by Brake system has also been recalibrated for sharper response.
The Bentayga S is based on the V8 model. The 4.0L V8 twin-turbo pumps out the same 405 kW (550 hp) and 770 Nm (568 lb-ft) of torque. A new sports exhaust system is included as standard.
