Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) sold a total (domestic + exports) of 159,691 vehicles in April 2021, registering a growth of, well, nothing. If you remember, MSIL couldn’t sell any cars in the domestic market in April 2020 due to pandemic lockdowns. Of the total sales last month, domestic sales accounted for 137,151 units, followed by 5,303 units sold to Toyota, and exports of 17,237 units.
The ‘Compact’ segment with WagonR, Swift and Baleno accounted for 72,318 units, followed by the UV segment with Vitara Brezza and Ertiga accounting for 25,484 units last month. The ‘Mini’ segment with Alto and S-Presso settled for 25,041 units in April 2021.
