Maserati too is attending the 2021 Auto Shanghai, showcasing the MC20, Ghibli Hybrid, and Ghibli F Tributo Special Edition. The lineup also includes the Levante Hybrid, the brand’s first (mildly) electrified SUV.
The Levante Hybrid gets the same, minor visual tweaks as the Ghibli Hybrid, such as blue accents on the fender outlets, blue-painted calipers, and a new boomerang-shaped taillight signature. Also, there’s a new metallic tri-coat colour called Azzurro Astro, available as part of the brand’s customisation programme called ‘Maserati Fuoriserie’.
The cabin features blue contrast stitching to remind the occupants that they’re driving an electrified Maserati. The rest of the features would include all the usual stuff, such as an 8.4-inch central touchscreen (powered by Android OS), Maserati Connect connected car technology, Air Quality Sensor, Highway Driving Assist and so on. Options include 4-zone climate control, and Harman Kardon or Bowers & Wilkins audio systems.
The Levante Hybrid is powered by the exact same powertrain as the Ghibli Hybrid. Which is a 2.0-litre (1,998) 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine combined with a 48-volt BSG and an eBooster. The output is the same too, which is 243 kW (330 metric hp) at 5,750 rpm and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque at 2,250 rpm. A ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox drives all four wheels.
While it is the least powerful of all the Levantes, Maserati claims a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time of 6.0 seconds and a top speed of over 240 km/h (149 mph).
