The Toyota GR Yaris is the car that gave a whole new meaning to the phrase “the car I’m excited for, but can’t have”. But as with any limited-run or limited-availability car, many have bought it just to make a quick profit — an example here. Anyway, the GR Yaris has already proven itself to be an incredible machine both on roads and on track. The team at km77 have put it through moose tests as well, and the hot hatch aces them like it was built to do so.
In the first 77 km/h (48 mph) test, the hot hatch does a good job but hits a couple of cones. In the second attempt, the car enters the test at 80 km/h (49.7 mph) and avoids the cones like an expert. The team attempts the same at 81 km/h (50.3 mph) and 83 km/h (51.6 mph), but the car hits a cone in both, suggesting that the 80 km/h is the sweet number for the car. The GR Yaris does a good job in the slalom test too.
