Peugeot Cycles has added the eC01 Crossover to its e-Bikes portfolio, priced at €3,199 (including VAT) in France. The eC01 Crossover hopes to blur the line between a city bike and an all-terrain bike.
The bike is a collaboration between Peugeot Design Lab in Vélizy and the company’s manufacturing partner Cycleurope. Features include raised riding position, wide tyres, front and rear lights, Racktime luggage rack, and in-frame battery pack. The tyres are claimed to be pothole- and gravel-proof.
Powering the eC01 Crossover is the Bosch Performance CX motor unit that also powers Peugeot’s other bikes in the portfolio. It develops a torque of up to 63 Nm (46 lb-ft). The rider has 10 gears to slip through traffic as well as tackle hills. The 500 Wh Bosch PowerTube boasts a range of up to 120 km (75 mi).
