One of the highly-anticipated cars to arrive in 2021 in the Indian market is the Tata Altroz Turbo Petrol, scheduled to launch on January 13, 2021. While it’s not gonna be a “hot hatch” by any standards, a short teaser video suggests that it’ll at least be a bit more powerful compared to the regular Altroz that was launched in January 2020.
It is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a dual-clutch automatic, driving the front wheels. Maybe if the JTP division still existed, its version could’ve been a hot hatch, but unfortunately, that’s probably not the case. Interestingly, at the time of publishing this story, the JTP website was still live.
