Mahindra has introduced “Intelli-Hybrid” technology for its Scorpio SUV, and is priced at Rs 12.84 lakhs for the top end S10 2WD variant. The Intelli-Hybrid feature comprises of an electronic start stop technology, brake energy regeneration, and an electric assist motor. This technology will be offered on all variants of the Scorpio equipped with 2.2 Litre mHAWK engine and manual transmission. Note that the base S2 with 2.5 litre m2DICR engine, Scorpio automatic and the Scorpio 1.99 litre mHawk (sold only in Delhi NCR) variants are not equipped with the Intelli-Hybrid technology. Mahindra says this technology helps reduce fuel consumption by upto 7% by assisting the engine with electric power during acceleration.
