Honda has launched the Hatchback version of the 7th-generation City in Thailand, with prices starting at THB 599,000 (US$ 19,730 or INR 14,58,248). It is available in three trims:
S+ | SV | RS |
THB 599,000 | THB 675,000 | THB 749,000 |
It appears that Honda is offering the City Hatchback in Thailand as an alternative to the 4th generation Jazz/Fit.
The S+ (first image) and SV trims look a little bit bland, but the RS trim manages to look spicy, especially in this Ignite Red metallic finish in combination with its black styling elements, sporty bumpers and 16-inch gloss black wheels.
It’s the same story in the cabin, the RS trim features an all-black theme with red contrast stitching. Depending on the trim, the features list includes an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay compatibility; auto AC; cruise control; and safety equipment such as airbags (front, front side, and curtain), ABS with EBD, Hill-Start Assist, and a rearview camera.
The City Hatchback is powered by a 1.0-litre (988 cc) 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that develops 90 kW (122 metric hp) at 5,500 rpm and 173 Nm (128 lb-ft) of torque between 2,000-4,500 rpm. The engine is hooked up to a CVT that drives the front wheels. That’s right, the RS doesn’t get any extra horses; it’s all about those spicy looks.
