Jeep has revealed the production version of the Rubicon 392 concept that we saw in July 2020. It is scheduled to go on sale in the first quarter of 2021. According to Jeep, the Rubicon 392 is the most capable, quickest, and most powerful Wrangler.

Its off-roading credentials begin with 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels wrapped with 33-inch tires; a 2-inch lift kit, heavy-duty wide track Dana 44 axles, Tru-Lok electronic locking differentials, and electronic front sway-bar disconnect to maximize suspension travel. In addition, it boasts a 3.73 final drive ratio; 10.3-inches of ground clearance; and approach, breakover and departure angles of 44.5, 22.6 and 37.5 degrees, respectively. Also, it can wade through 32.5-inches (825 mm) of water.
The hood scoop is of course, functional. The ‘Hydro-Guide’ air intake system features a tri-level ducting system with a series of drains, including a one-way drain in the air box that separates water – up to 15 gallons (57 litres) per minute – away from the engine’s incoming air. This enables the Wrangler Rubicon 392 to traverse water up to 32.5-inches deep worry-free, even if a bow wake washes over the hood, Jeep said.
In case the hood scoop gets blocked by snow, mud or debris, a secondary air path within the hood structure feeds the engine.
The all-black themed cabin gets all the creature comforts, including leather upholstery, an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen, a redesigned gauge cluster to accommodate new engine specs, and steering-mounted aluminium paddle shifters. The Selec-Trac system offers four selectable modes: 4WD Auto, 4WD High, Neutral and 4WD Low.
The 6.4L HEMI V8 motor pumps out 350 kW (470 bhp) and 637 Nm (470 lb-ft) of torque, and is paired with the TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission and the aforementioned Selec-Trac full-time active transfer case. The Wrangler Rubicon 392 is claimed to sprint from 0-60 mph (96.5 km/h) in 4.5 seconds and gobble up a quarter-mile in 13.0 seconds, should such things interest you.
