Mercedes-Benz India has launched the locally-assembled (CKD kit) AMG GLC 43 Coupé in the country, priced at INR 76.70 lakh ex-showroom, Pan India. Interestingly, the original GLC 43 Coupé that was launched in 2017, which was a CBU import, had an ex-showroom price tag of INR 74.80 lakh.
The new GLC 43 models made their global debut over a year ago; they slot between the regular GLC and the full-blown GLC 63 models.
Key highlights include the MBUX system (12.3-inch digital driver display and a 10.25-inch infotainment display), Burmester audio system, AMG Ride Control+ suspension, and safety systems including 7 airbags, Pre-Safe system and Active Braking Assist.
The GLC 43 Coupé is powered by a 3.0-litre (2,996 cc) V6 biturbo petrol engine that develops 287 kW (390 hp) between 5,500-6,000 rpm and 520 Nm (383 lb-ft) of torque between 2,500-4,500 rpm. A 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox drives all four wheels via 4Matic AWD system. The Coupe-SUV is claimed to sprint from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.9 seconds and on to a limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
