The Audi Q2 has finally arrived in India, after more than 4 years of its global debut, and is commanding a hefty starting price of INR 34.99 lakh, ex-showroom. It’ll be available in five trims –
Trim | Price (ex-showroom) |
Standard | INR 34,99,000 |
Premium | INR 40,89,000 |
Premium Plus I | INR 44,64,000 |
Premium Plus II | INR 45,14,000 |
Technology | INR 48,89,000 |
The prices are dangerously close to the now-discontinued Q3 in India. However, the Q3 might return to the market at a later date.
Anyway, depending on the trim, the feature list includes LED headlights, LED taillights with dynamic turn signals, 17-inch Star design alloy wheels, and a sunroof. As we saw in the list above, there are Premium Plus I and II packages, with the latter offering S-Line exterior, 17-inch V-spoke alloy wheels and an extended black styling package.
Features in the cabin depending on the trim include sport seats, flat-bottom steering wheel (Premium Plus I and Technology), 2-zone climate control, Audi Virtual Cockpit, MMI Navigation Plus, and a 10-speaker audio system. Safety equipment includes 8 airbags and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System. Download the specification sheet here.
Powering the Q2 in India is a 2.0-litre (1,984 cc) 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that develops 190 hp (140 kW) between 4,200-6,000 rpm and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque between 1,500-4,180 rpm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed S tronic gearbox that drives all four wheels via quattro permanent AWD system. The tiny crossover is claimed to accelerate from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 228 km/h (142 mph).
