After updating the XE, the only sensible thing to do is to update the XF as well, which is what Jaguar has done. The 2021 XF and XF Sportbrake in the UK starts at £32,585 and £34,605, respectively.

The styling updates, especially the front fascia, is very similar to the XE facelift we saw last year. There are new full-LED headlights with ‘Double J’ running light signatures. Buyers can pick the Pixel LED technology from the options list. As with the XE, the XF models too get the Black Exterior Pack with Gloss Black styling elements.

The fresh cabin features a 11.4-inch curved glass HD touchscreen, a 12.3-inch HD driver display, an updated Head-Up Display, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity, ClearSight Interior Rear View Mirror, 3D Surround Camera technology, and PM2.5 filtration. As with the updated XE, there’s a new Guardian Mode as well that sends smartphone alerts to the owner.

Moving on to the business end of the story, the XF gets the same set of powertrains as the XE, as follows –

Diesel

  • 204 hp (150 kW) and 430 Nm (317 lb-ft), MHEV 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged; 8-speed automatic; RWD/AWD

Petrol

  • 250 hp (184 kW) and 365 Nm (269 lb-ft), 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged; 8-speed automatic; RWD/AWD
  • 300 hp (221 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft), 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged; 8-speed automatic; AWD

The 300 hp XF AWD Saloon is the quickest among the bunch, with a claimed 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time of 6.1 seconds.
