The flagship 718 models which made their debut with a new 4.0L flat-six engine paired with a manual gearbox last year, can now be had with a 7-speed PDK. Compared with the 420 hp manual 718 models, the ones equipped with PDK are claimed to accelerate from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) 0.5 seconds faster, in 3.9 seconds. They reach the 200 km/h (124 mph) mark in 13.4 seconds (0.4 seconds faster).
The 400 hp 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 and 718 Boxster GTS 4.0, both also improve in the sprint from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) by 0.5 seconds to 4.0 seconds, and then reach the 200 km/h (124 mph) mark in 13.7 seconds (0.4 seconds faster compared with the manual transmission), Porsche said.
Also, for the 2021 model year, high-quality Race-Tex material will replace the Alcantara in the 718 family. A Python Green paint will be added to the 718 Cayman GT4 and 718 Spyder color palette.
