Well, it was just a matter of time before Novitec presented its rendition of a McLaren GT. McLaren had taken a relaxed approach in terms of the design for its first Grand Tourer; it was clean and simple with no crazy gaps, gapes, splitters, canards, side skirts and wings. Novitec has respected that by giving it a subtle makeover.
The aerodynamic-enhancement kit made from carbon fibre includes a chin spoiler to further reduce front-axle lift; surrounds for the shoulder intakes and of course, the integrated rear spoiler. The car rides on Novitec MC3 forged wheels (by Vossen), measuring 20-inch at the front and 21-inch at the rear, shod with high-performance tyres measuring 245/30 ZR20 and 325/25 ZR21, respectively.
Novitec sport springs lower the ride height by about 25 mm, which is claimed to not affect the ride quality of the GT.
The interior can be enhanced as well with a combination of leather and Alcantara in any desired colour.
And of course, there’s a power upgrade too. The Novitec N-Tronic plug-and-play module when combined with Novitec Race high-performance exhaust system, extracts an additional 64 kW (87 hp) and 84 Nm (62 lb-ft) torque, bringing the total to 520 kW (707 hp) at 7,450 rpm and 714 Nm (527 lb-ft) of torque at 6,250 rpm. With this, a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is claimed to happen in 3.0 seconds while the top speed is 333 km/h (207 mph).
