The Velite 6 PHEV combines a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine, two electric motors and a lithium-ion battery pack from LG. Transmission will be an e-CVT that is claimed to make the PHEV as efficient as 1.4 liters/100 km. Buick claims a total driving range of up to 780 km (484 mi), including 60 km (37 mi) of pure electric range.

More information is expected closer to its launch date.
