Bentley is offering a few more options on the 3rd generation Flying Spur – the brand’s new flagship model. In case you missed the story, the Flying Spur recently succeeded the Mulsanne.
Anyway, as the headline suggests, the Flying Spur is now available in a four-seat configuration. In addition, electrically operated picnic tables are available too, which deploy from the front seat backrests with a single press of a button.
The veneer covered table lowers, self-levels and reveals a leather-trimmed surface with a recess for a pen or stylus. Holding the button down will make the table elegantly return to its stowed position.
More options include rear door veneers that complement the picnic tables, and two new technical finishes: high gloss carbon fibre finish that replaces wood veneers and Côtes de Genève finish; the latter is for the centre console and is inspired from a watch making technology.
Besides the new options, the steering wheel shape has been revised, especially the lower spokes. The new wheel gets capacitive sensing throughout the rim, which allows it to detect the driver’s hands – a vital new safety measure for the car’s semi-autonomous Driver Assistance Systems.
Rounding off the new options list are new wheel finishes, 3 new exterior paint colors, and a full chrome front grille.
