The McLaren Senna might have been subjected to multiple recalls, but it’s important to recall that it bears a legendary name and hence deserves a legendary power. The stock Senna already offers 800 hp and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque, which is plenty for the car to be qualified as a “hypercar”.
But, for whatever reason, if that’s not enough, German tuner Novitec has a solution. The N-Tronic plug-and-play module introduces new mapping for injection and ignition as well as a modified electronic boost pressure control, which unleashes an additional 75 kW (102 hp) of peak power and increases the peak torque by 88 Nm (65 lb-ft). As a result, the Novitec-tuned Senna produces an output of 663 kW (902 hp) at 7,100 rpm and 888 Nm (655 lb-ft) of torque at 6,300 rpm.
In addition, the tuned Senna also gets a high-performance exhaust system made from an ultralight material called Inconel, which is also used in Formula 1 racing. The exhaust lets the turbocharged V8 breathe more freely and thanks to its extensive thermal insulation, optimizes the temperatures in the engine bay as well.
A 0-100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is claimed to happen in 2.7 seconds and reaches a speed of 200 km/h (124 mph) after just 6.5 seconds. The top speed is 335 km/h (208 mph).
