The import data from Zauba has revealed that Audi India has imported 1 unit of SQ7 for homologation purpose. Last year at around the same time, it was imported for testing purposes.
The SQ7 is the most powerful Q7 variant packing a 4.0 TDI diesel engine(3,956 CC), producing 435 hp and a massive 900 Nm of torque. The car features three turbochargers, one of them is an electric supercharger which is the first time ever in a production car. Audi claims this setup is to eliminate the turbo lag.
Audi claims the SQ7 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in 4.8 seconds, and the top speed is limited to 250 km/h (155.3 mph). In the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC), it consumes 7.2 liters per 100 kilometers (32.7 US mpg). This corresponds to CO2 emissions of 189 grams per kilometer (304.2 g/mi).
The SQ7 features a sound actuator in the exhaust system which amplifies the eight-cylinder sound. The driver can vary the amount of sound by using the Audi drive select system.
