Volkswagen has launched the T-Roc Cabriolet in Germany, with prices starting at €27,495 (including VAT). A number of showrooms reopened last week, showcasing the Cabriolet for visitors, VW said.
The T-Roc Cabriolet is available in Style and R-Line variants; the photos here showcase the latter. While there are multiple exterior paint finishes to choose from, the soft-top will always be in black. It opens within 9 seconds and can be operated at speeds of up to 30 km/h (19 mph).
Standard equipment includes Halogen headlights, LED DRLs, LED taillights, 17-inch alloy wheels, comfort seats (with height adjustment), leather-wrapped steering wheel, white ambient lighting, 2 USB-C ports, 2-speakers, and a list of passive and active safety features.
The options list is pretty big, which includes LED headlights, fog lights with cornering function, 2-zone climate control, digital cockpit, Discover Media navigation system, 6-speaker Beats audio, and Driver Assistance packages that include technologies such as automatic distance control with speed limiter.
In Germany, the T-Roc Cabriolet is offered with a choice of two petrol engines. The 1.0-litre (999 cc) 3-cylinder TSI engine puts out 85 kW (116 metric hp) and 200 Nm (147.5 lb-ft) of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. For those who want more, there’s a 1.5-litre (1,498 cc) 4-cylinder TSI unit, tuned to produce 110 kW (150 metric hp) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DSG.
