As expected, Toyota has launched the C-HR EV in China, with prices starting at CN¥ 228,800 (USD 32,280 or INR 24,57,470) after subsidies. The EV is available in five variants.
Depending on the variant, features include LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, and an electric sunroof with anti-pinch function. Buyers can go for a dual-tone paint scheme.
Features inside include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 9-inch infotainment system with navigation, tilt & telescopic steering, 10-way electrically adjustable driver seat, auto AC, 6-speaker audio system, and a big list of passive and active safety features.
The Toyota Safety Sense includes Pre-Collision Safety system with pedestrian detection, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracking Assist, and Automatic High Beam system.
As for the business end of the story, the C-HR EV gets a single electric motor at the front, which develops 150 kW (204 hp) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque, drawing juice from a 54.3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that is claimed to deliver a range of up to 400 km or 248 mi (NEDC). Up to 75% State of charge (SoC) is claimed to take about 50 minutes via DC fast charging.
The EV’s kerb weight is rated at 1,780 kg (3,924 lbs). A 0-50 km/h (31 mph) acceleration is claimed to take 3.4 seconds, while the top speed is 160 km/h (99 mph). Check out more pictures here.
