The organizers of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este are planning to postpone the 2020 edition from the originally planned dates of May 2020 (22nd to 24th) to October 2020 (16th to 18th). Now, this is still a plan, obviously, and they’ll continue to monitor the developments of the coronavirus pandemic and a final confirmation is expected in June.
The BMW-sponsored event is held annually on the shores of the beautiful Lake Como in Italy. Sadly, the country is the worst hit by the spread of COVID-19 with the highest number of cases after China. In fact, the deaths (3,400+) at the time of publishing this story are higher than in China.
The prestigious heritage event is held in association with Villa d’Este, one of the world’s most iconic luxury hotels. The grounds and parkland offer guests and visitors an opportunity to admire around 50 historic automobiles in different categories every year.
These participants will be judged by a jury headed by the Jury President, Lorenzo Ramaciotti.
