KTM’s Swedish subsidiary Husqvarna Motorcycles has launched the Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 in India, priced at Rs 1.80 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The motorcycles will be sold through KTM showrooms, and will initially be available at 100 showrooms across 45 cities.
There are not many visual differences between the motorcycles. However, if you look closer, the Vitpilen features clip-on handlebars.
Both motorcycles are built on a trellis frame made from high strength steel using hydro formed tubes and robot welding. Features include 320 mm front and 230 mm rear perforated steel discs, ByBre calipers, Bosch ABS system, and 43 mm piston forks at the front. Buyers can opt for Akrapovič exhaust.
As the name suggests, the motorcycles are powered by a 250 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder four-stroke engine, producing 23 kW (31 hp) at 9,000 rpm and 24 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
