Off-roading enthusiasts in India have been dreaming about the 4th generation Jimny ever since it debuted in July 2018. But Maruti Suzuki was not sure if there are enough buyers in the country to make the plan viable.
Which is why the company is showcasing the Jimny at the 2020 Auto Expo to “assess the response of the Indian customers”. Yes, that’s the official statement.
It is already on sale in several markets around the globe. If launched in India, the Jimny would be powered by a 102 hp 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Read more about the Jimny here.
