Maruti Suzuki (MSIL) sold a total of 154,123 units in January 2020, registering a growth of 1.6 percent compared to 151,721 units during the same period in 2019. The total sales include 142,250 units in the domestic market, 2,249 units of domestic OEM sales and 9,624 units of exports.
The ‘Mini’ segment which includes the Alto and S-Presso, registered a growth of 10.8 percent while the ‘Compact’ segment with the Wagon R, Celerio, Swift and Baleno, registered a growth of 11.6 percent in January 2020. With 835 units sold in January, the Ciaz sales continue to decline.
Interestingly, the UV segment which includes the Vitara Brezza, S-Cross and XL6, registered a decline of 26.6 percent in January 2020 compared to the same period in 2019.
