As we all know, Maruti Suzuki (MSIL) commenced working on electric vehicles in October 2018 with prototypes based on Wagon R vehicles. The company seems to be having more EV plans for the market as a new trademark called ‘Futuro-E’ has been filed recently.
While there’s no description or details on the type of the vehicle, the ‘E’ suffix suggests that this might indeed be a new EV in the works. At the 2018 Auto Expo, MSIL showcased the e-Survivor concept, a 4WD off-roader. It’s interesting to see which body style the Futuro-E might take. MSIL might showcase a concept at the 2020 Auto Expo.
