The Seltos has proven to be a blockbuster for Kia Motors India as the company sold 14,005 units in November 2019, which is a 9 percent growth compared to October 2019 sales. With that, Kia claims the Seltos to be India’s largest selling SUV.
The company added that more than 40,000 Seltos have been delivered since its launch in August 2019, and the bookings have crossed 86,800. The Seltos sold 6,236 units in August; 7,754 in September and 12,854 units in October 2019. With more than an overwhelming response, Kia is ramping up the production of the most sought after trims, the DCT and diesel automatic, to reduce the waiting period.

Kia’s Anantapur plant in Andhra Pradesh is capable of producing 300,000 units annually and has already started second shift in its plant. The company plans to expand its network to more than 300 touchpoints by the end of March 2020. Kia is looking at the Northeast, the northern part of Telangana, Karnataka, and western Rajasthan for the said expansion.
