Porsche is offering a special edition 718 Cayman GT4 to celebrate Germany’s Porsche Sports Cup, available in limited numbers in 88 German Porsche Centres. The special model celebrated its premiere as part of a special event for Porsche fans at the Hockenheimring on Saturday, 12 October, 2019.
With the “Sportscar Together Day” event, Porsche celebrated both the opening of the new Porsche Experience Centre Hockenheimring and the season finale of the Porsche Sports Cup.

As for the car itself, the 718 Cayman GT4 Sports Cup Edition will be offered in Black and White exterior colors with red highlights for a distinctive contrast. The sides of the car get a thick red stripe with the number “15”, while the top of the car gets double stripe with a Porsche wordmark on the bonnet. The rear wing too gets a Porsche wordmark and the wing mounts are painted in Guards Red.
The 20-inch wheels are painted Black (a satin gloss), while the rim flange is finished in Guards Red. The brake calipers and logotypes on the rear are in black. Buyers get an exclusive car cover as well with a red double stripe.
Interiors are equally special too with Black leather and Alcantara upholstery, and red contrasts throughout the cabin. In addition to the contrast stitching, the seat belts and door opener loops are also in Guards Red. Notice the red Alcantara on the driver’s seat to distinguish from the passenger seat.
Other features include the Alcantara steering wheel with red 12 o’clock marking and the black shifter with red shift pattern. The trim elements in the doors, dashboard and the centre console are finished in black brushed aluminium. The armrest is also covered in Alcantara and features an embossed “Porsche 15 Jahre Sports Cup Deutschland” logo. The package is completed by floor mats with leather border in black and Guards Red stitching as well as the steering column trim in Alcantara.
As we saw in June this year, a newly developed 4.0-litre naturally aspirated 6-cylinder boxer engine powers the 718 Cayman GT4 and this Sports Cup Edition as well. It develops 420 hp and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque, and is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The track-tuned PASM damping system (Porsche Active Suspension Management) is included as well.
