Toyota has added the Venture Edition for the 2020 4Runner, boasting a bit more visual appeal and more utility on the outside.
One of the features is the standard Yakima Megawarrior roof rack supported by the included roof rack crossbars. Built with heavy-duty steel, the rack provides additional roof-top storage in a spacious tray that measures 52-inches in length, 48-inches in width and 6.5-inches in height.
Visually, there are Gunmetal 17-inch TRD wheels, and logos and badges in black. Additional black accents will include the ORVMs, door handles, and rear spoiler. Although based on the TRD Off-Road Premium, the Venture Edition ditches the TRD Off-Road badging from the C-pillar for a “cool, minimalist look”, apparently.
Interiors of the Venture Edition get SofTex-trimmed powered and heated front seats with “TRD” lettering on the headrests, SofTex-trimmed seats for the second row as well, standard all-weather floor mats, and a rear cargo mat.

The rest of the features have been carried over from the regular MY 2020 4Runner, such as the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa compatibility, 4.2-inch MID, 8-speaker sound system, and two USB ports for the rear passengers.
The Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P) is standard on all 2020 4Runner models. This active safety system includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Sway Warning System, Automatic High Beams and High-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC). Passive safety equipment includes 8 airbags.

Powering the 2020 4Runner is a 4.0-litre V6 gasoline engine, producing 270 hp at 5,600 rpm and 377 Nm (278 lb-ft) of torque at 4,400 rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission, which comes with a sequential shift mode.
The body-on-frame SUV gets a part-time 4WD system that features a 2-speed transfer case with selectable low range. It also gets Crawl Control that enables the driver to focus on the steering in challenging terrain without having to touch the throttle or brake pedal, and Active Traction Control (A-TRAC). Options list also includes Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS).
