Italian motorcycle marque Benelli has launched the Leoncino 500 in India, priced at Rs 4.79 lakh ex-showroom, Pan India. The new Leoncino is a scrambler-styled motorcycle and is a modern iteration of Benelli’s historic motorcycles.
Styled by Centro Stile Benelli, the Leoncino features a Lion of Pesaro emblem on the front fender. Other features include LED lighting, digital instrument cluster, 50 mm inverted telescopic suspension at the front and a laterally mounted monoshock at the rear with spring preload and rebound adjustment, and 320 mm dual discs at the front with 4-piston calipers and a single 260 mm disc at the rear with a single-piston floating caliper.
Housed inside the steel-tube trellis frame is a 500 cc in-line 2-cylinder engine, which produces 47.5 hp at 8500 rpm and 46 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
The bike rides on 17-inch wheels shod with 120/70 and 160/60 tyres, front and rear, respectively. Fuel tank can hold 13.5 litres.
The Leoncino 500 is available in two paint options – Steel Gray and Leoncino Red.
