Mahindra’s sub-4m SUV XUV300 has now got AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) variants at an additional cost of Rs 55,000 over the manual W8 and W8(O) variants. Do note that the 6-speed AMT is coupled only with the diesel engine.

The 1.5-litre (1497 cc) 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine offers the same 85.8 kW (115 bhp) at 3750 rpm and 300 Nm of torque at 1500 – 2500 rpm.
Branded as autoShift, the AMT features manual mode, anti-rollback on slopes, and creep function that helps in bumper-to-bumper traffic. Other features include Drive and Reverse Lock Out which prevents sudden shifts between reverse and drive modes unless the speed drops to less than 5 km/h, and Creep disable on Door Opening which prevents the vehicle from moving if the doors are open.
